Hey there, I’m Katie – I love salty foods, writing recipes, meal planning, and coffee.
I developed my love of cooking many years ago. My earliest memories of creating in the kitchen started at about 8 years old. Those memories include baking my first chocolate cake from scratch and making mashed potatoes for the first time. The potatoes were lumpy, but I was so proud.
There is little more satisfying for me than creating something new and delicious, and sharing that with other people. Well, a clean kitchen. A clean kitchen is pretty satisfying.
My goal at Katie’s Table is to help you to create meals that are wholesome, simple, and delicious, give you new ideas, and whatever your level of cooking knowledge may be, to inspire you through my recipes.
I’m so glad you’re here. I can’t wait to share good food, ideas, and conversation with you around my table.
Love, Katie

The History of Katie’s Table
I started Katie’s Table in spring of 2018. I had been posting photos and stories on Instagram when I cooked dinner at night after coming home from work. Then, frequent questions would come in about what I was making, if I had a recipe for a certain dinner, etc. Most of the time I was just winging it and throwing together what sounded good.
The Why Behind The Recipes
Many people mentioned the same frustration – They were exhausted when they got home from work and never felt like cooking. By this time, I was well into a routine with coming home from work, starting dinner, and putting something together fairly quickly. Sure, there were some days I didn’t have much motivation. But for the most part I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the challenge and it felt like a creative outlet for me.
So, I started Katie’s Table as a way to share my creations, recipes, and ideas for dinner. While not all of my recipes were dinner recipes, I did become primarily focused on quick, easy, wholesome dinners, since that was what I was doing best.
The Name
I chose the name “Katie’s Table” because of what I think about when I think of a dinner table. I think of a place where people gather to share good food, to chat, and (in our family) to share coffee.
Thank you for being here!
