I was craving fresh limeade the other day, and so I started playing around with the fresh limes I had sitting in my fruit basket.
My first batch was actually sweetened with sugar, and I didn’t absolutely love it. I tried honey as the only sweetener when I made the second batch, and it was just perfect.
This limeade is on the tart side, so if you are looking for something super limey with light sweetness, this is for you! Mix it up and sip it slowly.
Honey Limeade
Fresh squeezed limeade sweetened with a hint of honey.
Ingredients
- juice from 1 1/2 limes
- 4 tbsp honey
- 2 1/2 cups water
Instructions
- Combine lime juice and honey in a quart jar. Stir until well combined. Add water. Secure lid and shake well. Pour and sip!
Notes
I love mixing this up in a jar because of how easy it is to pop the lid on and give it a few shakes. If you don't have a jar, no worries. Mix it up in a pitcher or whatever you have to use. Most importantly, just make sure you really stir the honey in well so it dissolves into the lime juice and is evenly sweetening your limeade.
